  • Can I just say what a beautiful place. I cant believe the sanctuary runs on purely volunteers. Excellent visit thanks and nothing was too much trouble.

  • Visited the owl sanctuary today from Port Talbot and it was absolutely worth the drive! Such a wonderful, friendly place with lots of well cared for owls, hawks, vulchers, bearded dragons, tortoise etc. Malcom was incredibly friendly and knowledgable providing us with information and answering any questions we had about the work they do and the animals they have rescued. We even held a barn owl which was amazing!
Admission is free but please please please donate however much you can on site as it really does go to a wonderful cause.
Would highly recommend visiting and will definitely going back!

  • Visited along with my parents from England. Didn't expect so many birds!

Amazing little place and well worth having a look round whilst doing some shopping at Festival Park. Also a charity so please give what donations you can :)

  • Malcolm kindly rescued 2 owls which we could not find a home for and which had previously belonged to my Brother in Law who had recently passed away
He is a wonderful man, and this sanctuary is a wonderful place to visit. Malcolm is happy to talk about all of the owls, and it is so interesting to listen to. Entry is free, but I would urge people to make a donation if they can, as I believe Malcolm manages to keep this place going himself, relying on donations etc.

  • Me and my partner drove an hour and a half to visit today with our son (4) and we couldn't believe what a great place this is.
Well kept cages, helpful and friendly staff.
And all for free. Obviously we gave as generously as we could. We truly believe the experience of holding birds and receiving the one on one information is priceless. Well recommended to anyone who is interested in these fascinating birds.
    Will be visiting again. :)

  • I came on Aug 15th. I was helping out at the guide dog stand as we had been specially invited to attend the Open day. The setting is delightful and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Because I was busy with the stand I did not get chance to see any birds but I will return another day. People that had seen the birds were full of praise.

  • Returned to visit this beautiful sanctuary. It is a wonderful place, providing a great new home to abused &/or neglected birds of many types. It provides a lovely relaxing environment to wander around whilst also providing an educational backdrop in which you can touch and hold the magnificent birds. However, very sadly, the owner was understandably devastated today as his lovely sanctuary had been vandalised and burgled the night before. I would ask anyone who loves to see such beautiful creatures to support and visit as soon as you can. Your support and any donations, would I'm sure be so very welcome.

  • We visited for the first time in half term my 5 yr old and myself. It was a lovely place and my little one thoroughly enjoyed holding the baby hawk and owls. Will definitely visit again. We both learnt alot about some of the birds that were around.

  • My children have visited your sanctuary today with their childminder. They have had, in their words (the best day ever!) they've learnt so much about the animals and birds you look after in one day! I just wanted to say a big thank you! I'm sure we will be coming again soon! They're missing speedy the 86 year old tortoise already!
